Vancouver, British Columbia
At last! My first time in a foreign country! When I was about 8 years old my family went to Niagara Falls but stayed on the US side, so I got a look at Canada. Last year we drove through El Paso, Texas, where I got a look across the border into Mexico. It was just a quick glance. I was driving and the interstate was fast and crowded! But I finally got a passport, and yesterday I drove us across the border into Canada.
Since we were only in Vancouver for the day, we decided to visit Stanley Park, one of the best city parks ever. It’s a large park, over 1100 acres, that was set aside as a park when Vancouver was incorporated in 1886. We spent the whole day there, walking around the Lost Lagoon, watching seaplanes take off across the harbor, and enjoy dinner at The Teahouse.
