Montana
We arrived in Montana at the end of the day yesterday. We weren’t able to find many hotels in the area where we wanted to stop, but we were able to find a great little place to stay in the small town of Wibaux, population less than 600. The hotel was old, but clean and comfortable. We ate at the Shamrock, a local favorite. We had been worried about it, because there were no windows, but everyone on Yelp and the staff at the hotel said it was popular locally and family-friendly. We were happy to find good food and a great atmosphere. It was filled by the time we left, with a line of people waiting for tables.
We spent today driving across most of Montana, mostly a semi-arid region sparsely populated, mostly ranches, with cowboys on horses.
