Description: I first sketched this side street window in New Orleans. This version is done using scratchboard - an ink-coated paper that allows you to scratch out the white. It is drawing in reverse, and is unforgiving if you make an error. I love doing it though – it’s like doing a brain-teaser. It is the best way to get a deep, even black, which works well in leaving interior completely dark.
