- Description: Living in the Blue Ridge mountains most of my life, ridges are a common feature of the landscapes around me. This row of trees on the top of the ridge was inspired by a detail in another landscape. I took that small detail and enlarged it, and this was the result. I see a spring scene – with the colors from the flowers on the trees, but others have told me it looks more like autumn.
